Dentistry
During dental hygiene treatments we carefully remove bacterial plaque, tartar and stains from the teeth.
Your teeth are professionally cleaned with special pastes applied exclusively with SINGLE-USE professional brushes, with ultrasound, with AIRFLOW® THERAPY and with the BIOLASE diode laser.
We demonstrate the best cleaning technique to follow at home after the cleaning carried out at the practice and show you how to use dental floss correctly: if you have a bridge, a prosthesis, ongoing orthodontic treatment or a dental implant, you have specific hygiene needs and we are here to help you keep everything clean.

Laser prophylaxis eliminates bacteria and the inflammation they cause, making it the best prevention of periodontal disease. The application of laser light eliminates bacteria and at the same time creates an environment favourable to healing.
THE ADVANTAGES OF LASER DENTAL PROPHYLAXIS:
WHEN IS BIOLASE LASER DENTAL PROPHYLAXIS RECOMMENDED?
During the check-up appointment, which takes place every 6–12 months.
It is a method of preventing periodontal disease, aimed at eliminating bacteria before inflammatory conditions affect the supporting tissue of the tooth.
At our dental practice in Milan, Biolase laser technology allows us not only to clean teeth impeccably but also to achieve effective prevention of periodontal disease and improve your lifestyle.

Bad breath (halitosis) is a very common problem, but it can be improved with daily oral hygiene and by cutting down on sugary foods and drinks.
Regular professional cleaning appointments help keep plaque levels under control.
The causes of bad breath:
If you feel your breath is not as fresh as you would like, book an appointment with us for a consultation.
Fresh breath is a sign of good oral health, clean teeth and healthy gums.
Dentistry
When the gums are visibly red and swollen and bleed when you brush your teeth, this may be a sign of gum disease, also known as gingivitis.
Untreated gingivitis can develop further into a type of infection known as periodontitis, which affects the whole area surrounding the tooth and increases the likelihood of losing it. It is therefore essential not to underestimate the risks and to proceed with specific and immediate treatment; for this reason regular check-ups with professional dental hygiene are highly recommended.
The use of the laser to treat periodontitis is considered a new and highly successful technique that ensures the complete elimination of bacteria, avoiding the surgical alternative.
THE EXCEPTIONAL ADVANTAGES OF LASER-ASSISTED PERIODONTAL THERAPY:
The Biolase laser acts deep down where other instruments or medicines cannot reach, selectively destroying the pathogenic bacteria that cause periodontitis without causing any damage to the cells of the body, and therefore without damaging the cells of the gum tissue, rapidly reducing all the symptoms listed above.

Dental erosion, i.e. the loss of enamel, can be one of the causes of tooth sensitivity. The underlying dentine is exposed, causing pain and sensitivity, which usually get worse with extreme temperatures.
Erosion can be caused by diet (frequent consumption of sugars or acidic foods or drinks), incorrect brushing habits (brushing too hard), teeth grinding, certain medical conditions and eating disorders.
Dentine desensitisation with the Biolase laser:
Tooth sensitivity can be treated with Epic Biolase laser therapy, whose rapid desensitising action solves the problem for patients with sensitive teeth and tooth necks.
For effective treatment of tooth sensitivity, book an appointment at our dental practice in Milan and we will offer you a personalised treatment plan.
Dentistry
When the teeth do not meet correctly as the upper and lower jaws close, we are dealing with a malocclusion. This can cause problems with the teeth, gums, temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and facial muscles.
This misalignment leads to clenching of the jaws and consequent grinding of the teeth during the night. This can cause facial pain, headaches, discomfort and clicking when biting or chewing, migraines, neck and shoulder pain, and even back pain.
In some cases, the treatment involves wearing a hard plastic appliance at night, a night guard. The night guard is custom-made and precisely fitted to your bite in order to position the jaws correctly, allowing your muscles to relax and preventing the teeth from wearing down through grinding.
Depending on the origin and severity of the problem, orthodontic treatment or maxillofacial surgery may be necessary.
Other solutions may include replacing missing teeth or adjusting any ill-fitting bridge in the mouth.
The important thing is to consult the dentist as soon as possible, so that the problem does not get worse over time and require more drastic measures to correct it.

EPIC X Laser
Why Biolase EPIC laser treatment?
Gummy smile treatment
Biolase laser aesthetic gum reshaping (“laser recontouring”) is an extraordinary treatment aimed at improving your smile quickly.
The laser reshapes the gum margin of the teeth so that they have balanced proportions. As a result, the smile looks symmetrical and radiant; it is also a quick and painless treatment.
The whole procedure is quick and can be carried out in a single session at our dental practice.
Laser-assisted frenectomy
Tissue attachments limit the movement of the tongue, affecting speech or causing gum recession.
Thanks to the action of the EPIC laser it is possible to “release” them. Patients choose this treatment because it carries no risk of bleeding and, in most cases, requires neither anaesthesia nor stitches.
Tooth sensitivity treatment
Tooth sensitivity is a common problem in which a taste of ice cream or hot tea can sometimes prove painful.
This problem can be treated with the Epic laser, leaving you free to enjoy your meals without having to avoid certain foods or drinks.
